Introduction

This the second of six small drawings that DGR made in a copy of the first edition of The Early Italian Poets (1861) at Princeton. It is an imaginary portrait of Folcaciero de' Folcacieri, the “Knight of Siena” named as the author of the canzone ending on the page with the drawing (page 15).
