most of Morris’s poems, was reprinted in The Defense of Guenevere and Other Poems (1858).
Mackail notes the similarity between this poem and “Riding Together” (93), which
Morris published in the January issue of the Magazine. The poems are thematically similar, and both repeat the rhyme between weather/together.
