Introduction
DGR saw Thomas Woolner off to Australia on 15 July 1852. Woolner made DGR acquainted with his friends Charles and Eliza Orme, and DGR made this pencil sketch for Mrs. Orme as a remembrance of her friend. (It is reproduced as the frontispiece in Amy Woolner's biography.)
See also DGR's 1850 sketch of Woolner at work in his studio.
