- Kiss once again. Full many Even new the Full many a withered year
- Whirled past us, edying to its chill doomsday;
- And clasped together where the blown leaves lay
- We long have knelt & wept full many a tear.
- Yet lo! This one hour a bird at last, the Spring's compeer,
- Flutes softly to us from some green byeway:
- Th at ose year s, those tears are dead, but only they:
- Kiss once again, my love; for we are here.
- Cling heart to heart; nor of this hour demand

- Our hearts shall wake to know Love's golden head
- Sole life-sun sunshine of the imperishable land;
- Or only, through some night to which we grope, but discern, where mid dark night we grope where deep in night we grope,
