Introduction
This volume is a heterogeneous collection of poetical and prose materials bound together by Charles Fairfax Murray after DGR's death. The collection is especially interesting for the set of notebook pages gathered here. Comparing these disbound pages with other notebook materials, one can see clearly that DGR (a) used his notebooks as sites for scripting poetical ideas and fragments, and (b) drafted in the notebooks parts of poems that were in a process of continuous development during the 1870s.
