Introduction
This is one of a pair of composite humorous drawings that were apparently initiated by
Burne-Jones shortly after he and his wife moved into their home in Great Russell Street. The
result is a kind of "exquisite corpse" drawing to which DGR, Brown, and Morris also
contributed.
The Birmingham Museum supplied the title that is given here. It indicates that the figure is
meant to parody Morris.
