Correspondence with Ch. Fairfax Murray in 1895 is not entirely clear as to whether the negative was destroyed or not. S.B. Jr., wrote, Jan. 13, 1895, - “I suppose from what you say about the “Water Willow” negative that you can get me 2 or 3 prints off it at any time; and I should like to have them if so, and then you take over and destroy the negative. Will you do this for me? ***
April 21st, C.F.M. wrote, - “The photos you wished of your “Water Willow” were sent. I have asked for the negative but not got it yet. Will write again.”
