Production History
DGR executed designs for this and its paired angel design in 1861. They are among the most charming of DGR's designs for stained glass. Only the working cartoons are known to exist. In 1861, when the designs were made, the stained glass windows for both were installed in All Saints Church, Selsley (above the Resurrection window in the apse). In 1863 they were installed on a larger scale in St. Michael and All Angels, Lyndhurst (in the tracery of the south transept), and in 1870 in St. James, Brighouse (in the tracery of the east window).
