Dante Condemning Cavalcanti to Exile

This unexecuted work was intended as part of a triptych, of which the only completed portion is Giotto Painting the Portrait of Dante . If completed, it would have depicted Dante as one of the Priori of Florence condemning the Ghibelline poet Guido Cavalcanti to exile.
