Introduction
An orphan, Louisa Parke became a close friend of DGR's sisters and is said to have carried on a long correspondence with Christina, though the letters have not appeared. She became acquainted with the Rossettis in the 1850s through Thomas Keightley and was educated to be a governesss. She was also known as a spiritual medium and is said to have transmitted messages to DGR from his dead wife Elizabeth.
