Bibliography

The Raven: Angel Footfalls
Description: “A man reading by candle light leaps up from his chair at the sight of a troop of fairy figures as they enter from the left foreground and cross to the right. Behind him stands a large female figure with a skeleton on either side; in the background a bookcase is surmounted by busts of Shakespeare, Byron, and a third, unidentifiable. On the extreme left a raven is perched on a helmeted bust placed on the mantlepiece” ( Surtees 4).
