Scholarly Commentary
Introduction
DGR executed a number of pictorial works on the subject of the legend of St. George. This picture, the latest of these works, is a watercolor version of one of the drawings he made (1861-62) for a set of stained glass windows that are now in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
