Introduction
DGR executed this “brotherly design” for the title page of his sister's volume Goblin Market and Other Poems (1862) (Fredeman, Correspondence, 61.66). This particular design illustrated the text “Golden Head by Golden Head”; the engraving was produced by W. J. Linton.
The second sketch for Christina Rossetti's book, illustrates the text “Buy from us with a Golden Curl.” C. J. Faulkner's engraving of this drawing served as the frontispiece.
Reception
Fredeman provides contemporary reviews of DGR's design ( Correspondence, 62.45).
