Introduction
This is a sheet of nine designs that DGR made for a stained glass window to be manufactured by “The Firm”, that is to say, the partnership of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co. founded in April 1861. The designs were for St. Martin's Church, Scarborough, where the panels for the east window are installed from DGR's “Parable of the Vinyard” design series (see the commentary for The Parable of the Vineyard: The Planting of the Vine).
