Introduction
This is Part 15 of the “Sotto Docilità” section of the Documenti d'Amore of Francesco da Barberino (1264-1348). DGR's source text was Ubaldini's 1614 edition. For further commentary see DGR's note in The Early Italian Poets and the editorial commentary for DGR's translation of an excerpt from Del reggimento e de'costumi delle donne, also by Francesco. DGR translated four short portions of this long work.
