Introduction
This is a fragment (with corrections) of a second revise of Signature C. Though undated, it must have been pulled around 13 April.
Textual History: Revision
Besides this fragmentary proof, the library of the Delaware Art Museum has four complete sets of proofs for this signature, each numbered and date stamped by the printer Charles Whittingham, of Chiswick Press: a set of author's proofs and their duplicate; a second printer's revise (numbered 3; perfect, dated 13 April); and the third printer's revise (numbered 4; perfect, dated 22 April). The British Library also has a set of the first printer's revise (numbered 2; perfect, dated 13 April).
