Introduction
The text of the poem is on the two rectos of a single sheet folded into four sides. It was sent in a letter to Swinburne dated 23 February 1870, in which DGR also included a copy of his sonnet “On Certain Elizabethan Revivals” (Fredeman, Correspondence, 70.32).
