In the the 1 June 1850 issue of The Critic, WMR reviewed the current exhibition at the Royal Academy. DGR wrote eleven individual notices that comprise portions of the longer articles written for The Critic by WMR. In this notice, part of WMR's 1 June review, DGR comments on a picture by Charles Hutton Lear (1818 - 1903) that took for its subject a passage from Keats's “Ode on a Grecian Urn”. Though DGR was not acquainted with Lear, his enthusiasm for the picture, given its subject, is unsurprising.
